I don't generally like French restaurants, and I'm loathe to repeat the actual names of the food, so let me keep this brief. Excellent service, a very nice butter-steak, and tasty desserts. Plus, a sharp crowd and nice surroundings. I don't think you can go wrong at Bistro Zinc.
My friend and I dined at Bistro Zinc on July 14. I am quite underwhelmed -- I ordered the mussels and pommes frites. Three of the mussels (30% of the order) did not open; there was a piece of paper with "FRI" on it in the broth (hope it wasn't the expiration date on the mussels); the frites were way overdone and dry; the bread was never replenished; the water was never replenished. All in all a most mediocre experience and I doubt I will ever go back.
